The gap we work in
Codewirebase began in Munich after repeated conversations with international graduates who had strong degrees but little context for German recruitment. They could find vacancy boards. What they lacked was a careful reader who could explain why a Werkstudent role matters, how recruiters interpret a degree title, when German-language expectations are firm, and how to choose a credible entry point.
Our work sits between university careers information and the application itself. We translate hiring conventions into decisions: which vacancy deserves your time, which experience proves readiness, and which gap needs honest preparation.
Your adviser
Mara Klein, graduate employment consultant, leads all consultations. Her background spans university career services, early-career recruitment for German Mittelstand employers, and workshops for international master’s students. She works in English and German and keeps the scope deliberately narrow: graduate market entry, application evidence, and interview preparation.
Codewirebase does not act as a recruiter and receives no employer commission. Advice is therefore based on your fit and priorities, not on filling a vacancy.
How we work
We ask for a real vacancy because concrete evidence is more useful than personality labels. We distinguish an employer requirement from a preference, and a fixable application problem from a qualification gap. When a question belongs with a lawyer, tax adviser, recognition authority, or the Federal Employment Agency, we say so.
The result should be work you can defend in an interview: accurate documents, reasoned role choices and examples drawn from things you have actually done.
A Munich base, a Germany-wide view
Consultations are available online across Germany, with limited in-person appointments at our Sonnenstraße office. Our examples cover different hiring environments—from research institutes and public organisations to family-owned manufacturers and international employers—without pretending that one application style fits every sector.
